A Growing Problem

"Super" lice are head lice that have developed resistance to traditional over-the-counter treatments. Super lice now make up the majority of pediculosis (head lice) cases in Ohio. Since lice is so easy to catch, and so difficult to treat, chances are high that your child will eventually come home scratching. Especially since both the CDC and Health Department are now recommending that schools NOT send home children who are found to have head lice. This will cut back on children missing class, but also increase chances of spreading unwanted critters to other heads.
